Assembling an Easter Basket - Little Cottage on the Coast

Hey friends, I hope everyone is having a sweet Easter weekend. I’m so thankful for a long weekend and time to spend with my 3 guys. This is our last Easter at Tidy Cape Cod and we are savoring each memory we make together. I’ve been slowly gathering things for Graham and Harrison’s Easter baskets over the past few months and had so much fun assembling them. I still remember how I loved digging through the Easter baskets my mom made my sisters and I as kids. This year, I tried to pick a good mix of fun things that the boys can play with as well as items that they will use and won’t end up in broken pieces on the floor next week. I find it much easier to collect items slowly over a few months so it’s not a huge task or cost all at one time. I also shop this way for Christmas so I can shop sales and only get items we really love or need. Since we are moving close to the beach, it only seemed fitting to pick out a few items that they will use frequently. I’ve linked many of the items below. Most of the toys you see in the baskets, I snagged at the Target dollar spot. So many great options! Our baskets were purchased from Pottery Barn Kids when the boys were just babies. I love that they’re personalized and can be used for many years. I’ve linked a similar one they have this year. There are different options for the size of the baskets. If you like to put larger items in your basket than definitely go with the large. I didn’t choose the large and can’t fit a few items in their baskets. The drawstring bunny bags you see in the photo above are so cute and can be used as chair backers or for hunting eggs. They were a lucky find in the Target $3 spot and had bright blue check ears. I cut new ears from felt in a color that matches our Easter decor and hot glued them right on. Problem solved!
