Floral Spring Tablescape

Spring is just weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited! There are signs of new life outside with beautiful hues of green emerging from the soil. Spring brings me so much joy! I’ve teamed up with a few blogger friends today and we are sharing our spring tablescapes as well as a craft. Be sure and scroll all the way to the bottom of this post and head to each of their pages to see the magic they’ve created in their homes.

In my spring tablescape, I included shades of black and white with a pop of floral pattern and of course, flowers. My inspiration for the color scheme came to me when I spotted these adorable bunny plates and floral napkins at HomeGoods. I paired them with solid white dinner plates that we use every day at our house. I love to keep the majority of our dishes white so that they can be used with any decor.

Instead of a tablecloth or table runner, I used two flour sac kitchen towels. I didn’t have a runner or tablecloth that fit well into my tablescape scheme, so this was the perfect solution. Although I love creating tablescapes, they can easily become expensive if you run out and buy all new coordinating items. When creating decor in my home, I always shop my house first and try to find new ways to use items I already own. I gave each towel a quick iron and they added the perfect touch to the table.

Most of the lighting along with some hardware in my house is brass or gold. To tie everything together, I pulled out the gold flatware we use daily and arranged brass candle sticks across the center of the table.

These clear glasses are acrylic outdoor cups. I love that I can hand one to my little guys and not worry about it breaking. They look beautiful displayed on open shelving and blend into any decor.

In the center of the table, I arranged my favorite faux tulips and a few faux anemones I purchased from Magnolia a couple years back. I love to collect a few realistic faux stems each spring so that I always have a selection of pretty flowers to pull out. As much as I love real flowers, it just doesn’t fit into our budget to purchase them frequently. The planter was also a HomeGoods find.

I wanted to keep this tablescape simple and budget friendly so I chose easy DIY Place cards. I had these cute little glass egg cups I grabbed from the Target dollar spot last year already on hand. Then, I simply added names onto real eggs using a fine tip pen. So quick, easy and inexpensive. You could also do this using faux eggs or add faux grass to egg cups to cradle an egg or place card.
