    Easy Halloween Dinner Inspiration

Hi there, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted and I’m so glad to be back! I wanted to share some last minute Halloween dinner inspiration ideas. This year, my boys have been enjoying sending letters to people in the mail. They asked to send Halloween party invitations this year and I happily went along. I have to admit, I did hardly any preparation prior to the day of our Halloween dinner and decided to just wing it. Below, I’ll share links to a few of the recipes I used. This dinner was super casual, fun and no-stress. Decorations I used what I had on hand to create something…

    Salt Dough Gingerbread Man Garland

This past week, I found myself wanting to make a few things from my favorite gingerbread salt dough recipe. It’s quick, easy and requires minimal ingredients. I just love their imperfect cookie like texture and you can create the sweetest handmade decorations for practically pennies. Since my love of gingerbread themed Christmas decor continues, I thought it would be fun to make a simple garland of gingerbread men. I love how it turned out and my boys were quick to notice it hanging in our kitchen. If you’re interested in making one for yourself or as a gift, click here to get the recipe from when I made salt dough…

    DIY Paper Bag Snowflakes

If you’re looking for simple and inexpensive Christmas decor, these snowflakes are the perfect DIY. I hung these from the ceiling all throughout our entry way last year and they made such a huge impact. This year, I decided they’d be perfect hanging above our hot cocoa station. You don’t need a ton of supplies to make these and can have several done in less than an hour. Here’s what you’ll need to get started: -Paper bags (You can use standard size lunch bags or smaller ones in whatever color you prefer.) You’ll need 8 bags per snowflake. -Hot glue gun with extra glue sticks -Sharp pair of scissors -Scotch tape…

    Baby Girl Nursery Closet Reveal

Our sweet Ella Kate’s nursery closet is finished and I’m so excited to share how it turned out. The room we chose to use as a nursery is fairly small including the closet, so I wanted to make each inch of the space both functional and meaningful. We started off by removing the builder grade wire shelf from the closet, filling the holes and giving it a fresh coat of paint. It took me a while to decide on the perfect shade of pink for the space and It turned out just as we had hoped. My husband added 3 floating shelves that are the perfect size for holding small…

    DIY Gingerbread Wall Hanging

I recently started sifting through my Christmas decor for the year and was so excited when I pulled out this cute little gem I whipped up last season. With the arrival of a new baby in the next few months, I wanted to get a head start on Christmas decorating but keep it a little more simple than previous years. Something I realized while sorting through boxes was that many of my favorite things are faux greenery and handmade gingerbread house decorations. If you love gingerbread house decor, be sure to also check out my gingerbread house garland tutorial. This little wall hanging is in the heart of our home,…

    Organizing a Homeschool Cart

Hi friends, It’s been a while since I’ve posted and I’m so happy to be back. I’ve spent the past few months focusing on my family and preparing for our first year of homeschooling. We’ve officially started our homeschool journey and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m already amazed by the new things we’ve learned together. It truly fills my heart to watch my boys grasp new things and develop a love for learning. Today, I wanted to share a few ideas and sources for organizing school supplies and curriculum. Although I love scrolling through photos of beautifully organized and decorated school rooms, our home is small and doesn’t allow…

    Spice Cabinet Organization

Hi friends, today I wanted to share a little project I began right after moving into our house last summer. It’s the perfect project to tackle as you begin spring cleaning and it has made my time in the kitchen so much easier. It is so easy to tuck those little spice containers away into baskets, cabinets and drawers, only to find you’ve purchased the same spice five times because you weren’t sure if you already had it. While moving out of our last house, I was mortified when I realized how many expired spices I had shoved into my cabinets. I vowed to change that after moving so this…

    Floral Spring Tablescape

Spring is just weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited! There are signs of new life outside with beautiful hues of green emerging from the soil. Spring brings me so much joy! I’ve teamed up with a few blogger friends today and we are sharing our spring tablescapes as well as a craft. Be sure and scroll all the way to the bottom of this post and head to each of their pages to see the magic they’ve created in their homes. In my spring tablescape, I included shades of black and white with a pop of floral pattern and of course, flowers. My inspiration for the color scheme…

    Creating an Organized Cleaning Caddy

One of the things in my home that is a constant work in progress is my cleaning routine. Through each season, it’s a process of finding what works best for my family during whatever phase we’re in. Keeping a clean house can be completely overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. I am a very visual person drawn to all things pretty, so having pretty cleaning products makes me want to actually use them. This year, I wanted to start by organizing a few of my most used cleaning items in a pretty and cohesive way. There’s something satisfying about opening a cabinet to find matching and labeled items so…

    Holiday Hot Cocoa Bar

I am so excited to share a fun little spot in our holiday home with you today. When it comes to Christmas, I’m all about family traditions, no matter how small, and creating sweet memories for my little ones. A hot cocoa bar is the perfect little set-up to leave on a counter or sideboard throughout the season. Some of the things I love about this holiday tradition is that there are endless options for toppings, every hot cocoa station is a little different, and you can fully customize this to fit your family. I chose to set ours up on our kitchen counter where my little guys can see…
