    DIY Gingerbread Wall Hanging

I recently started sifting through my Christmas decor for the year and was so excited when I pulled out this cute little gem I whipped up last season. With the arrival of a new baby in the next few months, I wanted to get a head start on Christmas decorating but keep it a little more simple than previous years. Something I realized while sorting through boxes was that many of my favorite things are faux greenery and handmade gingerbread house decorations. If you love gingerbread house decor, be sure to also check out my gingerbread house garland tutorial. This little wall hanging is in the heart of our home,…

    My Favorite Christmas Decor Essentials

Although we’re still in the first week of November, Christmas will be here before we know it. I wanted to share a few of my favorite Christmas decor pieces that never fail me. Christmas time is my all time favorite holiday, it’s just so magical to me. When choosing decor, I aim to find pieces that I love, are timeless and can be used year after year regardless of what color scheme I may decide on. The past few years, I’ve found myself gravitating towards a lot of greenery, handmade items and a Scandinavian Christmas vibe. Below are nine things I’ve used in my own home and absolutely love! 1.…

We purchased a new home and moved to another city not too far. We’re still enjoying life on the East Coast. We’ve lived in our new home just over a year now and are slowly making changes to create spaces we love. While we miss our little cottage, it was well worth the sacrifice to be closer to family. I plan to share photos of our new home and some of the updates we’ve…

Hi friends, It’s been a while since I’ve posted and I’m so happy to be back. I’ve spent the past few months focusing on my family and preparing for our first year of homeschooling. We’ve officially started our homeschool journey and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m already amazed by the new things we’ve learned together. Peter Rabbit Easter Tablescape

As Easter approaches this year, things feel a little uncertain and chaotic. Never would I have imagined that we would be in the middle of a pandemic. I am so thankful to be home with my boys during this time and want to make the most of it. Weeks ago, I had visions of a fun an whimsical Easter table filled with fresh garden veggies like cabbage, radishes and all you would expect from Mr. McGregor’s garden. With the stay at home order in place, I wanted to make sure our family is doing its part and staying home unless it’s absolutely essential. Even though I’m not running out to…

    Spice Cabinet Organization

Hi friends, today I wanted to share a little project I began right after moving into our house last summer. It’s the perfect project to tackle as you begin spring cleaning and it has made my time in the kitchen so much easier. It is so easy to tuck those little spice containers away into baskets, cabinets and drawers, only to find you’ve purchased the same spice five times because you weren’t sure if you already had it. While moving out of our last house, I was mortified when I realized how many expired spices I had shoved into my cabinets. I vowed to change that after moving so this…

    Corralling kitchen Cords

Spring is near, friends! I’m full into cleaning and organizing over here. As spring approaches, I get the itch to purge all the clutter and whip our home into tip top shape. Although we’ve lived in our house less than a year and are typically pretty organized, I find ideas to improve our spaces as we live and work in them each day. I’m not sure if I’m the only one, but kitchen cords have been making me crazy. We eat the majority of our meals from scratch at home, which means I spend a great deal of time in the kitchen. I’m always looking for ways to make cooking…

Spring is just weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited! There are signs of new life outside with beautiful hues of green emerging from the soil. Spring brings me so much joy! I’ve teamed up with a few blogger friends today and we are sharing our spring tablescapes as well as a craft. Be sure and scroll all the way to the bottom of this post and head to each of their pages to see the magic they’ve created in their homes. In my spring tablescape, I included shades of black and white with a pop of floral pattern and of course, flowers. My inspiration for the color scheme…

    Valentine’s Day Pizza

Hey friends, I’m so excited to share a family friendly recipe with you today. This is the perfect casual dinner to put together for Valentine’s Day. With just a little preparation and rise time, you’ll have a delicious handmade pizza in just a few hours. One of the ways we save money in our house is by cooking mostly from scratch at home. This is one of those dinners that my entire crew gets excited about. It’s less expensive than ordering pizza and tastes so much better. I also love that I have complete control over what goes into it and can customize it however we like. Since Valentine’s Day…
