Easy Halloween Dinner Inspiration
Hi there, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted and I’m so glad to be back! I wanted to share some last minute Halloween dinner inspiration ideas. This year, my boys have been enjoying sending letters to people in the mail. They asked to send Halloween party invitations this year and I happily went along. I have to admit, I did hardly any preparation prior to the day of our Halloween dinner and decided to just wing it. Below, I’ll share links to a few of the recipes I used. This dinner was super casual, fun and no-stress. Decorations I used what I had on hand to create something…

Salt Dough Gingerbread Man Garland
This past week, I found myself wanting to make a few things from my favorite gingerbread salt dough recipe. It’s quick, easy and requires minimal ingredients. I just love their imperfect cookie like texture and you can create the sweetest handmade decorations for practically pennies. Since my love of gingerbread themed Christmas decor continues, I thought it would be fun to make a simple garland of gingerbread men. I love how it turned out and my boys were quick to notice it hanging in our kitchen. If you’re interested in making one for yourself or as a gift, click here to get the recipe from when I made salt dough…

DIY Paper Bag Snowflakes
If you’re looking for simple and inexpensive Christmas decor, these snowflakes are the perfect DIY. I hung these from the ceiling all throughout our entry way last year and they made such a huge impact. This year, I decided they’d be perfect hanging above our hot cocoa station. You don’t need a ton of supplies to make these and can have several done in less than an hour. Here’s what you’ll need to get started: -Paper bags (You can use standard size lunch bags or smaller ones in whatever color you prefer.) You’ll need 8 bags per snowflake. -Hot glue gun with extra glue sticks -Sharp pair of scissors -Scotch tape…

Baby Girl Nursery Closet Reveal
Our sweet Ella Kate’s nursery closet is finished and I’m so excited to share how it turned out. The room we chose to use as a nursery is fairly small including the closet, so I wanted to make each inch of the space both functional and meaningful. We started off by removing the builder grade wire shelf from the closet, filling the holes and giving it a fresh coat of paint. It took me a while to decide on the perfect shade of pink for the space and It turned out just as we had hoped. My husband added 3 floating shelves that are the perfect size for holding small…

DIY Gingerbread Wall Hanging
I recently started sifting through my Christmas decor for the year and was so excited when I pulled out this cute little gem I whipped up last season. With the arrival of a new baby in the next few months, I wanted to get a head start on Christmas decorating but keep it a little more simple than previous years. Something I realized while sorting through boxes was that many of my favorite things are faux greenery and handmade gingerbread house decorations. If you love gingerbread house decor, be sure to also check out my gingerbread house garland tutorial. This little wall hanging is in the heart of our home,…

Peter Rabbit Easter Tablescape
As Easter approaches this year, things feel a little uncertain and chaotic. Never would I have imagined that we would be in the middle of a pandemic. I am so thankful to be home with my boys during this time and want to make the most of it. Weeks ago, I had visions of a fun an whimsical Easter table filled with fresh garden veggies like cabbage, radishes and all you would expect from Mr. McGregor’s garden. With the stay at home order in place, I wanted to make sure our family is doing its part and staying home unless it’s absolutely essential. Even though I’m not running out to…

A Children’s Space Filled with Christmas Cheer
Hi friends, I’m so excited to share the beginning of our Christmas home tour with you. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year and it takes everything in me to wait until after Halloween to begin decorating. I have such sweet childhood memories of Christmas. I so vividly remember the magic I felt as I stared at tiny lit up holiday villages and figurines. I spent hours on our living room floor, admiring the collection of whimsical and handmade ornaments that covered my parents tree each year. My love of all things Christmas began as a small child and has followed into my adult years. I feel so much…
